preparing for a baby

You love your partner.
You already love this baby.

And you care deeply about the kind of future you're building together.

You’re doing everything you can to get ready for this baby. You’re reading, prepping, planning — because you want to raise a kind, resilient human who feels safe and loved.

But here’s the truth: Your relationship is their foundation.

If you’ve found yourselves wondering:

  • “Will we still feel like us after the baby comes?”

  • “What happens to our connection when everything changes?”

  • “Is there a way to prepare now so we don’t lose each other later?”

…you’re asking the right questions. And you’re not alone.
There is a way to stay connected, and it starts before the baby ever arrives.

Early parenthood will stretch everything — your routines, your patience, your connection.
You can’t fully predict it, but you can prepare for it.

Because underneath the coming chaos and change will still be you two — the team, the love, the vision you’re building together.

This isn’t just about surviving the newborn days.
It’s about protecting your bond before things get hard.
It’s about making sure you don’t lose sight of each other when everything else shifts.

There’s a way to navigate this transition with clarity and connection and we’ll help you find it before the fog rolls in.

If you are craving:

  • A deeper connection that doesn’t get lost in diapers and to-do lists

  • A plan for teamwork that keeps resentment from building

  • Tools to have hard conversations without shutting down

  • To feel seen and supported — not just as parents-to-be, but as partners

  • A roadmap that helps you stay close before things get messy

…you’re in the right place.

Picture this:

  • You’re in the kitchen together, laughing, not just surviving.

  • You crawl into bed and still feel close, not disconnected.

  • You say what you need without walking on eggshells.

  • You don’t carry it all alone — mentally, emotionally, or logistically.

This is what’s possible when you build your foundation before it gets rocky.

And more of that…

  • You model healthy love and teamwork from day one.

  • You create a home where connection doesn’t get buried under chaos

  • You show your child what it looks like to grow together, not apart.

Because your relationship isn’t just part of your parenting journey.
    It shapes it.

This isn’t therapy.

It’s a proven coaching process.

In just six weeks, we help you and your partner:

  • Talk about what’s really going on before the little things turn into big blowups

  • Understand the mental load and start sharing it before it overwhelms you

  • Build emotional closeness now, so it’s easier to return to later

  • Have open, pressure-free conversations about sex and intimacy

  • Get clear on your roles, needs, and hopes so you're on the same team from day one

You don’t need another book or podcast. You need real-time support, with real people, in your real life.

This is your turning point — before the baby arrives. Let’s make it count.

No more guessing how your relationship will hold up.
No more avoiding the conversations that feel too big.
No more hoping connection will just "figure itself out."

You can start the 6-week Prep for Us experience today — with real talk, real tools, and a plan that puts your relationship at the center of this next chapter.

You need a foundation. Start now before the sleepless nights and shifting roles make it harder to find your way back.

Who We Are:

We’re Chels + Mike.

We’re parents, partners + professional coaches who nearly lost our own connection in the chaos of early parenthood. We’ve sat on the same couch in silence. We’ve had the same “How did we get here?” conversation. And we’ve done the work to come back stronger.

We built Postpartum Together to walk alongside couples like you, with real tools, honest talk + practical support that makes a difference in your life right now and for years to come.

Our work has helped hundreds of couples:

  • Communicate clearly (even when exhausted)

  • Shift from resentment to reconnection

  • Navigate sex, stress + schedules as a team

This isn’t just about fixing problems.
It’s about building the kind of relationship that can grow through challenge + support the kind of childhood and world you want to give your kids.

P.S. Most couples wait until things are falling apart to ask for help. But you don’t have to (you’re smarter than that).

What if this could be the beginning of something better for you, your partner + the little ones watching you every day?

FAQ: What You Might Be Wondering

What if my partner isn’t on board yet?
That’s more common than you’d think. A lot of couples start with one person feeling more ready than the other. What we’ve seen is that when the conversation is framed around preparing as a team—not fixing something—partners are much more open. If you’re here reading this, that’s already a powerful first step. We’ll help you take the next one together.

We’re so busy. How will we fit this in?
Preparing for a baby takes time, and we know your plate is already full. This isn’t about adding more. It’s about laying the groundwork now so the future feels less chaotic. Sessions are 60 minutes once a week. The tools we give you are built for real life, not some ideal version of parenthood. Most couples tell us it actually saves them time and energy in the long run.

Is this therapy?
No. This is coaching. It’s focused on the present, rooted in action, and designed to help you take steps that make life easier now and later. We’re not here to diagnose or dive into past trauma. We’re here to help you build tools, habits, and conversations that strengthen your connection right now.

Can we do this if we’re already in therapy?
Yes. Many of our clients are in therapy and also choose coaching to stay accountable and apply what they’re learning. Think of us as relationship trainers—helping you prepare for the biggest transition of your lives and stay connected through it.

What’s the investment?
The full six-week Prepare for Us experience is $1,000. This includes six private sessions, curated tools each week, and support across the five core areas of relationship strain during the transition to parenthood. It’s an investment, and we’ve seen how it brings clarity, connection, and peace that’s worth far more than the cost.

Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. You can choose to split your payment into two or three installments. You’ll see those options on the checkout page.

Do we have to be married?
Not at all. We work with couples in all types of partnerships—married, engaged, long-term, and co-parenting. If you’re in this together and want to grow stronger through it, you’re in the right place.

What if we’re not sure how things will go once the baby arrives?
You don’t have to have all the answers. That’s exactly why this exists. You’ll walk away with a shared understanding, real communication tools, and a stronger sense of, “We’ve got this.”

What happens after we sign up?
You’ll receive a welcome email with a link to schedule your sessions and a short intake questionnaire so we can get to know your relationship and goals. From there, we guide you every step of the way—no guesswork, no fluff, just real support.
